One handle controls both flow and temperature. The simplest to use day to day, and the most common style in Singapore bathrooms, a safe default if you are not sure what to pick.
Wall-mounted taps
Mounted into the wall rather than the basin deck, these keep the basin countertop clear and give a cleaner, more minimalist look. Best planned at the renovation stage, since the rough-in position has to be set before tiling.
Deck-mounted taps
Sit directly on the basin or counter. Easier to install or replace later without touching the wall, and the more flexible option if you are not doing a full renovation.
Finish and maintenance
Chrome is the easiest finish to keep looking new and resists water-spot marks best. Matte black and brushed finishes look sharp but show water spots and fingerprints more readily, so factor in your cleaning routine, not just the look in the showroom.
